Another fun and mystery-filled escape
Cape’s Escape Game 8th Room is an installment of the ongoing adventure series developed by kazutaka takamori. It succeeds Cape's Escape Game 7th Room. Like previous iterations, this escape game follows the phantom, called Cape, in his four-walled exploits. This time, Mummy Girl joins him in his mystery room escapade.
Something wicked
Cape has a playdate in Cape’s Escape Game 8th Room. Cape’s friend Mummy Girl, called Master Hikikomori, comes out to play again after a long time. When she’s around, though, something unusual happens. In this casual game, you find yourself in rooms shrouded with mysteries you need to solve.
Geared toward beginners and intermediate players, the puzzles comprise simple logic and observation-based challenges. What’s more, this installment unlocks two endings, allowing some replayability. It also keeps the cute and colorful art style and the relaxing soundtrack. Still, the game is too brief for a long afternoon.
Lighthearted
Unlike hardcore escape room games, such as Fireproof Games’ The Room, Cape’s Escape Game 8th Room, along with previous installments, offers easy and quick-to-solve puzzles for relaxation. With the arrival of Mummy Girl and the addition of a 2-END feature, this short game continues to satisfy and delight fans.
